SLDI values strong partnerships and believes it is only through combined and unified efforts that real impacts can be achieved. We represent the land development industry and partner with other organizations who share our vision, goals, philosophies and tenets. We also work closely with several academic institutions to insure our programs are based on a solid scientific basis and to guide new research efforts for our industry initiatives. SLDI’s partners include: TreeBank is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing property values and reducing crime, stormwater runoff, pollution, health costs, heat islands, and much more. It does all this by investing in the rebuilding of our urban forest infrastructure. iTreeBank.org provides a simple Web-based "funding engine" to build community funds for hometown forests. TreeBank works with qualified branches that identify projects to support, and distributes funds to them. Donors choose an area (designated branches or the national fund) and make secure e-commerce donations. Branches are funded for local planting and care, and the many benefits of tree canopy expand. www.iTreeBank.org
